First day back at school and I was invited to join the juniors when they met Paul the Poet. He was quite fun, but most impressive was the eagerness with which all the children participated. I wasn’t able to stay for day two when they wrote their poems but I look forward to reading them. Congratulations to everyone who took part…….and of course I had to write a poem.

School Village Day - 12th July 2017

Another successful school village day very well organised by Mrs Beck. I had the pleasure of accompanying Amelie, Ben, Holly and Gracie Faye to Edgworth Cricket Club where we met the Bar Manager Dan Fryan. The children asked lots of inquisitive questions particularly around aspirations. Many thanks to Dan for fully engaging with the children and sharing some of your work and life experiences.

Well done Amelie, Ben, Holly and Gracie Faye and congratulations to Mrs Beck for yet another successful Village Day.

When Mrs Bailey asked for volunteers to talk about their careers or interests, I hadn’t expected to be so busy. With a week full of activities for infant and junior children, I found myself talking about my passion for cycling.
