Peter Rabbit - Reception

Mrs C Sears
In reception we aim to provide a secure and caring environment in which every child can fulfil his or her academic, creative, physical, and personal potential.
In reception the children continue to enjoy carefully structured play activities within the classroom and outdoors. Children will read, write and use numbers each day to develop independent writing skills. PE is taught for a full morning, once per week.
We aim to change our topic every half term and when doing so, take into consideration the interests of the children.
This term we will be looking at the great outdoors. We will be looking at animals and insects and their habitats and life cycles. To go alongside our learning in this topic, we will be going on our first school trip to Blackpool Zoo. We are very excited for this!
As this term is our last in Peter Rabbit class, we will be doing lots of transition work to get us ready for when we move into Year 1. How exciting! Where has time gone?
Please make sure our assembly date is in your diaries. We will be doing our class assembly on Thursday 27th June at 3.00pm.
Toast is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays to Infants, 10p for one slice or 20p for two slices.
Every Friday morning. PE kits will be sent home every half term for a wash.
Every Monday afternoon the children can visit our infant library and borrow a book. A book must be returned before borrowing another.
