Welcome to Year 4.
The Class Teachers in Year 4 are Mrs Burton and Mrs Hayes. We also have Mrs Nicholson and Mrs Reeve our class Teaching Assistants. We are a happy, friendly and supportive class who work together to achieve great things. We enjoy a challenge and strive to be the best we can be every day. Team work is important to us and we will always endeavor to make our class an inclusive and productive place to be.
In Year 4, homework will be sent home every Tuesday and will include spellings, times tables, grammar and maths. This will then be collected in on the following Monday when spellings and timestables will also be tested. Alongside their weekly homework, each child will have a home-school reading book and will have a designated day on which they can change this. It would be hugely beneficial if you could spare 10 minutes each night to support your child in completing their homework and to share their home-school reading book with them.
Our PE day in Year 4 is Wednesday and and as part of the PE curriciulum, your child will have the opportunity to take part in swimming lessons this year.
