RE: INTENT  RE: IMPLEMENTATION  RE: IMPACT

We focus on teaching Christianity during RE lessons and worship but we also teach children about other faiths. We give our children the opportunity to reflect on what it means to have a faith and to develop their own spiritual knowledge and understanding. We help the children learn from religions as well as about religions.

Our aim is to enable children to have an informed and thoughtful account of Christianity and show an informed and respectful attitutude towards other world religions. We will encourage our children to reflect critically and responsibly on their own spiritual, philosophical and ethical convictions.

We are very lucky to be linked to three local churches:

Edgworth Methodist Church
St Anne's Church Chapeltown
St James' Church, Edgworth

To find out more about what we teach during Religious Education (RE) please read our RE Policy.
