The School Day

School Start

The school day starts at 8.55am and finishes at 3.30pm. This means our school is open for 32 hours and 55 minutes per week.

Registration is at 8.55am.

Children can enter the school grounds from 8.45am when a teacher will be on duty in the playground. At 08.55am, the whistle will be blown on both playgrounds and all children will line up with their class teacher and be led into school. All children who arrive later than 08.55am must enter school via the main school office to sign in.

Morning playtimes

Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have a break from 10.30am – 10.45am and play in the Infant playground

Children in Years 3 to Year 6 have a break from 10.30am – 10.45am and play in the Junior playground

Lunch

Children in Reception have their lunch at 11.50am and then go out to play. Their break ends at 1.00pm.

Year 1 and Year 2 have lunch at 12 noon – 1.00 pm.

Year 3 to Year 6 children begin their break at 12.15 pm. Lunchtime ends at 1.00 pm.

Afternoon playtime

All children have an afternoon break at 2.00pm.

End of the school day

All children finish school at 3.30pm and are dismissed straight from their classroom door.
