Spaces available in some year groups (limited)

Stay and play sessions for prospective new Reception - each July

Is your child 12-18 months away from starting Reception? If so, please come and join us in our Reception classroom for a fun, free "stay and play" session for children aged 3 or above. Even if you think you know which school you would like your little one to attend, why not come along and see our school and meet our Reception teacher and team for a chat and a play?

Each year, we host the sessions in July for the following September (e.g. July 2026 for September 2027 starters) at 9:30am-10:30am. If you would like to attend, please ring school on 01204 852932 to confirm dates and times and book a slot!

Our school has no catchment area and we have recently just had an exceptional OFSTED inspection (November 2025) in which we were graded as "strong" in all areas (see link below). We have children who come to our school from lots of the surrounding areas and we would love to meet you and your child!

We hope to see you there!

Places available NOW

Turton & Edgworth still has a limited number of places available in some classes throughout school. Please contact the school office on 01204 852932 to enquire.

We DO NOT operate a 'catchment area' and welcome children from all of our surrounding areas.

We have expansive outdoor spaces and offer an extremely high quality learning experiences for all children.

Exceptional OFSTED report

In November 2025, Turton and Edgworth was one of the very first schools in the whole country to be inspected under the new OFSTED framework. We secured grades of "strong standard" in all 7 areas. This is not a typical outcome and we are incredibly proud of the children, staff and governors.

Every day is an open day

We have an 'open-door' policy and parents/carers are welcomed to visit anytime to experience our vibrant learning environment first-hand. If possible, it is always best to visit during the school day to get a good feel for our school but we can arrange later visits if that suits. Please send us an email or give us a call anytime for an informal chat about our school or to arrange a tour with Mr Wheatley, our headteacher.
